StarStone Earrings

On February 15, 2002, I went to the Tucson Gem & Mineral Show, (the best show of its kind), and I made quite a find....star-shaped, carved stone beads!

I'm always looking for astronomy jewelry, which can be a challenge to find. So, when I found these beads, I got really excited and the wheels started turning......

What I came up with are StarStone Earrings for the fashion  conscious astronomer. They remind me of double binary star systems. Each earring includes a star-shaped, carved stone bead occulted by a gold-filled or sterling silver bead at the bottom.

There are two styles:

bullet Sterling Silver for only $16.00
bullet Gold-Filled for only $21.00

There are seven different stones to choose from. Click on the name below to see a picture of both styles, sterling silver and gold-filled:

bullet Moss Agate
bullet Picture Jasper
bullet Red A.V
bullet Sunset Jasper
bullet Tiger Eye
bullet Unikite
bullet Unknown

The StarStone beads measure approximately 3/4-inch in length, by 3/4-inch in width, and are about 1/8-inch thick. The finished earring is about 1.5-inches long. StarStone Earrings are for pierced ears only.
